The Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean Review (BSEMR) and its constituent institutions, the School of Law in the University of Nicosia and the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Black Sea and Mediterranean Studies in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (ILABSEM AUTh) issue a call for abstracts for participation in an international conference. The conference is co-organized by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES).

The editorial team of the Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean Review (BSEMR) invites scholars and practitioners to submit original research articles for our Fall 2025 issue. As an open-access, peer-reviewed journal, BSEMR is dedicated to fostering a comprehensive understanding of the Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean (BSEM) region across a broad array of disciplines, including politics, international relations, history, social and economic issues, energy, sustainable development, governance, culture, and education.

The Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean Review (BSEMR), published by the School of Law in the University of Nicosia and the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Black Sea and Mediterranean Studies in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (ILABSEM AUTh) and Al Jazeera Centre for Studies organize an international academic conference on “Discussing Stability and Peace in Turbulent Times: Local, Regional and International Ramifications of the War on Gaza” in Thessaloniki, Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 November 2024 in the premises of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences in AUTh (3rd floor, room 319).

Hybrid Conference / Call for Abstracts : “Discussing Stability and Peace in Turbulent Times: Local, Regional and International Ramifications of the War on Gaza” 2024-08-21

The Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean Review (BSEMR) in partnership with Al Jazeera Centre for Studies organize a hybrid 2-day conference, on November 27-28, 2024. The physical workshop will take place in the premises of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.  The workshop will provide valuable feedback for further development of research findings. To this end, we will be delighted to receive your abstracts (250 words max.) and short CVs by October 18, 2024. The decision will be announced to the applicants by the end of October 2024.
